Kirsty completed her BDS at Otago University. She then worked as a dental house surgeon at Hastings Hospital and in private dental practices in Hawke’s Bay before doing her Masters Degree in Orthodontics at Otago. Kirsty is a registered specialist with the Dental Council of New Zealand, a member of the NZ Association of Orthodontists and also has a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
After graduating from Orthodontics she worked as an Orthodontist at Christchurch Hospital and in a private Christchurch Orthodontic Practice. She then worked as an Orthodontic Specialist in the UK for 5 years prior to returning to Havelock North and opening her own private practice in 2009.
Kirsty is married to Craig and has three young children Evie, Sam and Millie. When she isn’t practicing orthodontics, she is a full time mum and keen runner who loves the Hawke’s Bay sunshine and life-style!!

Andrew is originally from Cardiff (UK) and gained his dentistry degree from Bristol University in 2004. After emigrating to New Zealand and working as a dentist he was fortunate enough to be offered one of the two or three places each year to study orthodontics at Otago University. Three years of full-time time study later he gained a Clinical Doctorate degree in orthodontics to enable him to register as a specialist orthodontist with the Dental Council of New Zealand. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, a member the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and is certified by the Australasian Orthodontic Board.
Andrew gained experience by working as an orthodontist at specialist practices in Auckland before moving to settle in Hawke’s Bay in 2015. He is passionate about orthodontics and is focused on achieving the best treatment outcome possible for every patient. Outside of orthodontics Andrew enjoys nothing more than spending time with his young family. Andrew’s gentle, caring nature is a perfect fit to HB Orthodontics.
Kerrie is responsible for the overall running of the practice and thoroughly enjoys working alongside staff, patients and their families. She has worked for many years as a dental assistant and over the last seven years as an orthodontic auxiliary. Kerrie is very knowledgeable and competent in all areas of orthodontics, manages the day-to-day running of HB Orthodontics and is very gentle and understanding with patients.

Di has worked for many years as a dental assistant in all areas of dentistry, ranging from hospital dentistry to working in high-end private dental practices specialising in restorative work. She is an extremely competent orthodontic assistant which is backed by her life-time of work in the dental field.
